Edwards Only Dem Candidate To Beat All FOUR Major Republican Candidates According To CNN Poll
Edited on Tue Dec-11-07 09:03 PM by ddeclue
A CNN poll released today concluded that Senator John Edwards is the only Democrat who can beat all four major Republican candidates.

“On the Democratic side, Edwards performs best against each of the leading Republicans. In addition to beating Huckabee by 25 percent and McCain by 8 percent, the North Carolina Democrat beats Romney by 22 percentage points (59 percent to 37 percent) and Giuliani by 9 percentage points (53 percent to 44 percent).”

2. If he is the only one who can beat all the
Republicans, how come he is behind Clinton and Obama in the other polls?? Doesn't make sense to me.

3. Because it is a poll looking at the GENERAL election, not the primary
and general elections include voters who aren't strictly the Democratic activists and whoever wins the nomination is going to have to appeal to more than just Democrats if they want to win..

5. Impressing numbers. Americans like John Edwards.
I like how he clobbers Mike Huckabee.

6. This is absolutely amazing to me
Considering how little press he has had compared to Clinton or Obama, it is amazing. Something about Edwards is resonating throughout America. If we are ever to have a landslide, this should be it.

If the press starts giving him any kind of decent coverage (say, 1/10th of what they've given Obama & Hillary ), Edwards will really take off. He's having to do it the old-fashioned way for the most part ... meeting people face to face. But when he wins Iowa, and does great in NH ... the Media will HAVE to pay attention, whether he's the biggest threat to their vested interests or not!

9. That's what I'm saying. He's the one. He's Neo.
He's going to surprise in the first primaries, and he's the one to steal the GOP votes in the south.

10. Sure, if you are obsessed with "winning", then Edwards is your guy...
but sometimes making a statement is more important.
:sarcasm:
