I Can See The Future Clearly
The future is clear to me now, with no help from the voices either ....

It will be Newt Gingrich against Al Gore with mabye Obama as Al's running mate. That VP part is still a little fuzzy. I don't know who Newt is going to side up with but it really doesn't matter, he doesn't stand a chance.

1. Curses, foiled again!
:tinfoilhat:

I'm kidding. Hopefully, no Gingrich. Then again, hopefully no Iranian war, no further terrorist attacks, no BushCo dragging America into the toilet after them... One can dream...

2. OK - now when will they be bringing Remember WENN out on DVD?
Actually Newt has a pretty good shot at the nomination, but I'm not as convinced on the Democratic side - Hillary i think will swing a bigger bat than that. But it could end up that way (and certainly I'd love to vote for Gore).

3. Funny--I'm still getting Hill.
The Puggy side isn't clear yet, but I don't think Newt.

I'm not particularly happy about how this whole mess is shaping up, but I think we're just gonna have to watch & see who the machine puts out there for us. I hate my own cynicism, but I think TPTB are comfortable with Hill, & the nom has more to do with their comfort level than with whatever the unwashed masses might want.

Remember, the original framers of the Constititution never visualized anything like a popular vote for the Presidency, and as long as we have a "magnetized" mass media (i.e. all pointing the same way under orders from On Top), we still don't have even a watered-down popular vote system via the Electoral College.

4. Newt
is not hoping so much to become president, as to replace Cheney as VP. He knows from his work with the OVP in the Cheney years that this has become the seat of power.

6. Now That Is A Scary Thought
Dam, I almost wish you hadn't said that. The boy wonder has quit listening to Cheney, that's obvious. So the world waits while the child-king fumbles around with no guidance and that this lull in world horror, other than Iraq, that we are experiencing at the moment is its result. If Newt took Cheney's place there would be a voice behind the power once again and if that voice might be Newt's then I really am scared.

5. Osama bin Laden is praying that Newt gets the GOP nomination.
I just had to say that. Not because I know Osama will actually be praying that Newt gets the nomination or that I even know Osama is still alive but because I know the right will say it about the Dem nominee no matter who it is.
