Watching Reid on the Senate floor.
Edited on Wed Dec-05-07 12:21 PM by BushDespiser12
Had to turn it off. He is leaning on the lectern barely able to support himself, using the term "maybe we can" over and over again in mealy-mouthed posturing. What the hell is he trying to project. I've seen 6 year olds better able to make their point in front of a crowd. Dammit, we need leadership, not capitulation and meek oration.

2. I don't think making speeches on the floor counts for anything these days anyway
It's all about maneuvering in private meetings. Does anybody think a member of either party gets convinced by what a member of the other party says on the floor? I don't.
