DROWNING POOL To BILL O'REILLY: 'Go Fuck Yourself!'

Texas hard rock band DROWNING POOL has issued another statement regarding the recent on-air remarks by Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly allegedly claiming that he and is one of only two "celebrities" to support the troops via the USO.

"I have chewed on this whole Bill O'Reilly-blasting-the-USO subject for some time now trying to decide what aspect of this jackass's empty rants I wanted to shoot holes in first," an unidentified member of DROWNING POOL writes on the band's MySpace page. "What I have finally realized is that it's pointless to even start on this and point out every single shithead aspect of this self-promoting, self-righteous poster child for birth control.

"He blasts the USO. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? The only reason this shithead even went over was to promote his new book. If you have the time, go to YouTube and search 'Keith Olberman USO Bill O'Reilly' and hear the facts. Please do.

"I'm not even going on any more with this. The fact is O'Reilly thinks he is above the truth and you can't argue with that kind of a person. Here is a group like the USO that for years upon years have given of themselves to do good by others that put themselves in harms way in the name of OUR country and this shithead decides he can just say what he wants and stack lie upon lie and attack anyone he wishes.

3. I *love* Drowning Pool!

I was in Dallas when they were just a Deep Ellum fixture. My friends Jibe and DP often played the same gigs. I have met them a few times and seen them play at probably a couple dozen times. They are great musicians and great guys.

I don't think, no matter what other music they ever put out, that any song will ever make me go crazy the way "Bodies" always has.... so many memories of rockin' out to that song during my second adolescence. Good times... :headbang:

7. Yes, so sad...

I wasn't sure they would ever come back from that. I have been glad to see them getting air time and some good tour dates recently. I don't claim to know them well, but have had the chance to mingle with them before... and what I remember most from the first time I met them was how low key they were, despite the hard rocking, tats, piercings, etc. It was like I could have introduced Dave to my mom and once the shock wore off, she'd have liked him.

4. Dammit, I misjudged this band.

Drowning Pool seemed a bit hickish and good 'ole boy to me, and I don't care too much for their songs, but I have to say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. That goes for Snoop Dog, too. I just can't dislike anyone who publicly reams Bill O'Reilly for any given number of assinine statements. That guy is sure making enemies. One day he will not have the protective shield of The poor idiot's PRAVDA to hide behind. Oh man, I just realized that I do like Drowning Pool. I was thinking of 'Puddle of Mud'. Oops.
