Rudy might have committed a felony with this one.
The scandal just gets juicier, no? Not just juicier, but much, much more serious for Giuliani. Via TalkLeft, Rudy might have committed a felony with this one.

NY State Comptroller Alan Hevesi's) decision to step down came as Albany prosecutors were preparing to ask a grand jury to indict him on charges of defrauding the government and on other felonies stemming from his use of state employees as chauffeurs and aides to his wife, a law enforcement official said, charges that could have yielded a prison sentence had he been convicted....
(

Mr. Hevesi admitted to using the driver but claimed he was needed for security reasons.

2. On some planet somewhere that the powerful are accountable to the law
that would probably be a good thing.

3. And That Was For His WIFE
Edited on Thu Nov-29-07 04:58 PM by Beetwasher
I mean, you can make the argument that your wife is entitled to security, but your mistress?

Honestly, if there was a level playing field 9iu11ani would be toast. But as we all know, the playing field is NOT level, so we'll see. I'm not holding my breath that this will go anywhere, unfortunately.

4. Maybe the NY Prosecutor is waiting to see if Mr. 911 gets the
Repug nomination. If he does, then he will Indict him. Wouldn't that be great?

5. who I believe was suffering from severe depression
I think what Hevesi did was out of concern for his wife, unfortunately, still not legal, but he admitted it and took responsibility for his actions. I think the reason he stayed in office as long as he did was to wait for Spitzer to be in office so he could make the replacement appointment. That's my theory anyway.

8. This is not new news. The stories about Judi's security and drivers
came out years ago. But no one was going to take on rudy. Especially after 9-11.
