Rudy is toast.
It looks like Rudy is going down. I predict his numbers will steadily decline as we reach the primaries. Too bad it's happening now and not during the general election - I was sort of hoping he would get the nomination because I think he's the most beatable Republican with his pro-war pro-bush stand. Then again, with Diebold running our elections, I guess it's just as well he takes the hit now, so we don't have to worry about him actually becoming our next president. What a nightmare that would be. Like the nightmare we're in now.

2. Republicans are scurrying to find the least bad candidate...
whoever wins the nomination, I wouldn't write them off, considering our privatized voting system and secret vote counting system.

3. I'm just catching the news. I saw a post of Dailykos saying the same.

Doesn't look good.

4. I agree! I was an accountant for 40+ years, and I lost a job because
I refused to do exactly what Rudy had them do...hide those expenses somewhere where they won't make a spash. Somewhere where they won't matter! The boss that fired ME FOR REFUSING to hide his stuff ended up getting fired himself because he was also taking kickbacks!

If Rudy was hiding expenses, it wasn't the ONLY thing he was doing that was dishonest!

Bye bye Rudy! Judy is going to be really pissed off at you! SHE really wanted to be first lady!

5. "Somewhere where they won't matter"
One place Rudy's money came from was a disabilities fund. Can you even begin to imagine?!

6. RUH RHO! He must have employed a stupid accountant too!
Unfortunately this kind of stuff happens quite often, but when you're dealing in public funds, a smart (albeit dishonest) accountant would have spread those expenses to somewhere that has so many different expenses, nobody would ever notice. Somewhere like law enforcement, or maintenence. I haven't seen the details, but to try to hide them in a disability fund (that usually has people watching pretty close) is blatent stupidity! It also sounds like that accountant charged way too much to one place! Split it up in small charges and most likely it would have never been found!

7. Don't many 911 survivors/volunteers have "disabilities"?? I
shudder to think how that would play with the masses.
