Stephen King Suggests Waterboarding Jenna Bush
Apparently Stephen King conducted an interview with the TV News show Nightline. After his interview was over King began to critize the news people for reporting so much about celebrity like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan and not reported about world issue like what is going on in Pakistan. Later King moved on the waterboarding and said that if the Bush administration thought waterboarding was not torture, Bush should allow one of his own family members to be waterboarded and report to him how they felt. King then suggested Jenna Bush be waterboarded and then reported to her father to tell him if she thought waterboarding was torture. The first link is from a website that talked about what King said. The second is the actual interview with Stephen King.

1. I grew up reading King's books. He's def an old Counter Culture type...
Those anti-establishment themes are especially present in some of his earlier works i.e. don't trust the corporation, there is a shadow govt, etc

3. absolutely!
Successful, rich, and still a measure of decency and intelligence.

Imagine that!

(...and he's also quite generous locally, and even better, continues to own and operate a *locally* DJ-ed rock radio station.)

4. Stephen King has been my favorite author since I started reading novels in the 70's
His humanism shines through in "On Writing"

5. The brilliance of his comment is how it puts the right in their place.
What can they possibly do to counter? They can't scream "Bush hater" because they've said time and again that waterboarding isn't really torture.
