I couldn't really tell because the person didn't have any other bumper stickers on their car.

I think it's sarcasm, but I can't tell for sure. It's certainly a Republican dream ticket.

By the way, the car was an older Mercedes Benz 190D (diesel) from the 1990s.

1. If that was the case, their slogan would be
"Twice the bald, sweaty, and pasty, twice the fun!"

2. Was that in Greenwich, Darien, Wilton, or Westport?
I would assume it is probably sarcasm, but you never really know.

5. Westport's first selectwoman is Diane Farrell, a Democrat
she's been there for several years now, too.

But, it was in Canton, right near the border of Avon & Simsbury. The Farmington Valley area used to be one of the redder areas of CT, but it's definitely more purple now: for the last 40 years, Avon's town council has had either 1 or 0 Democrats, but we elected two Dems this year (still a minority on a council of 5, but it's a promising sign for the long-term)

6. She's pretty cool
I met Diane in May 2006. She almost beat Shays for his seat in the House.
I'll bet that if she wants a rematch, she'd make it this time around, too.

9. she's come close twice now, but
now Jim Himes seems to be the candidate. He's got an impressive resume - born in Peru and speaks fluent Spanish, Harvard grad, Rhodes Scholar. His father spent his life working for charitable organizations like the Ford Foundation and UNICEF.

They key will be getting turnout up in Bridgeport. Lamont lost in part because of abysmal turnout in the cities - Hartford, New Haven & Bridgeport - which, also hurt Farrell.

12. I worked and lived in West Hartford/Farmington in the early 80's.
Very old/stuffy area. Surprisingly more blue than the Waterbury area, which gave us such notables as John Rowland, Phil Giordana, ... Santopietro.

13. West Hartford is a pretty liberal small city
They have a very high percentage of Jewish residents there, which I'm sure contributes to their left of center nature.

They also made news back in the 80s for arresting anti-choice protesters outside of a woman's health clinic on RICO charges. It's also one of the more diverse towns in Connecticut.

Farmington & Avon are still pretty stuffy, though it's been loosening up a bit (Mike Tyson bought a home there a while back, then sold it to rapper 50 Cent.)

If the exhaust of that "Mercedes Benz 190D (diesel) from the 1990s" smelled of vegetable oil - sarcastic. If actual diesel - serious.

11. That looks like it
but, I didn't see the Final Solution part on the bottom. Maybe I just missed it, though.

15. Back in 2004
I saw somebody driving along with a big W sticker on the back of their car... only when we slowed down to get off an exit was I able to see that it actually said "Bush Orwell" on it.

Most people driving would probably have just thought of it as a pro-Bush sticker because you couldn't see the Orwell part at highway speeds.
