SCOTUS: Why (your candidate here) is the best choice to remedy it...
As an undecided primary voter, I vote on the issues. I'm sick of the Rove-like approach many of the candidate groupies take towards trying to convince the rest of us that their candidate is the ONLY viable choice for any good Democratic voter. We're intelligent adults on this board. Free thinkers. Let's try a different approach, shall we?

SCOTUS is a make-or-break issue for me. I hate that it's been politicized by the neoCons but we've rounded that deadly corner and it'll take more than my lifetime to change that. We've got to accept that the damage has been done and that's why I will vote Democratic even if it takes a jar of Tums and an ice-cold Diet Coke to wash it down an hour before I cast my ballot.

So if you want me to consider your candidate as I enter what may well be an ealy prime in my state, start selling me. If your candidate's got it when it comes to SCOTUS, flaunt it*. Would s/he stack SCOTUS (possibly the only remedy available at this point)? Have they got any other ideas (this is where leadership skills enter the fray)?

*Big bonus points if you can refrain from even mentioning another candidate in your reply. Don't even think of mentioning any non-Democrat, either.

(For a good overview of what stacking SCOTUS means, here's an op-ed from the NYT: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/26/opinion/26smith.html?... )

1. When it comes to the Supreme Court, ANY Democrat will do just fine.
With the possible exception of Joe Lieberman, I suppose. But he's not running this time.
