170 people killed in Pakistan by 1 year old infant strapped with bombs
KARACHI: The Oct 19 bombing on Benazir Bhutto’s procession in Karachi which killed over 170 people, was carried out by a person who used a one-year-old child strapped with fatal bombs, sources close to the PPP leader said.

The bomber repeatedly tried to carry the child to the back of Benazir’s truck and hand over the infant to either Benazir Bhutto or any other PPP leader on the truck but something always prevented him from reaching close by.

At the point on Sharea Faisal where the bombs exploded, Benazir Bhutto herself saw the man with the child and asked him to come closer so that she could hug or kiss the infant. But someone came in between and a guard felt that the man with the child was not behaving normally. So the child was not allowed to come aboard BB’s truck.

Benazir Bhutto also believes that the explosion in the police van near her truck was caused by the infant who had bombs strapped all over the body. The PPP leader is said to have told her party men she recognizes the face of the man carrying the infant and she has requested several TV channels and camera persons to provide her the recordings so that she could identify the bomber.

hopefully everybody will zipper their mouths because of airport security and their "asinine acts of stupidity".

(Okay, not everybody, but I rarely respond to those threads because I'm one of the few that doesn't say "How stupid, that person was no threat", and so on)

8. This will likely have ramifications for security protocol here...
... One day a mother and her infant who wander a little too close to a passing presidential motorcade will get blown away because the kid looked a little bulky, and it will turn out to be a poopy diaper.

Am I trying to be funny? No.

I am just surprised that the Faux Noise fear channel hasn't picked up on this.

I am surprised this isn't getting longer legs. If this turns out to be verifiable, this is horrific on a scale that isn't even invented yet.

18. I don't know which is sadder....
.... thinking about this baby's horrific death or about the life he or she would have led being raised by a parent who would cold-heartedly do something like this.

This is beyond sick and twisted, beyond deranged. There just aren't words. How heartbreaking.

22. Some would say (and I would not necessarily disagree) that
the baby is better off dead than growing up around that sort of adults. The baby would likely have grown up to be encouraged to martyr him/herself. Or been a girl forcibly married to an old man at a scandalously young age.

I pity the children of these cultures that worship death.

15. We will never win over there
when a person is willing to do that, we should just get the hell out of Afghanistan and try to make sure our security is as good as it can be here.

I feel sorry for anyone living over there in that situation between Pakistan and India with Afghanistan thrown in the middle. I don't pretend to understand it.

17. And, that, people, is why traditional profiling does not work.
They can stick a bomb anywhere, in anything, on anyone. The only type of profiling that works is behavioral profiling--which is what saved Bhutto's life there.

19. I have a feeling this story is being promoted by the Bushits and Benazir Bhutto's folks....
.. I mean, isn't Benazir Bhutto a friend of this administration? Maybe the Bushits want a regime change?

20. So are you saying that this story isn't true?
Or if it is true that Bush and Bhutto put this guy up to strapping bombs to the baby?

That the Bush Administration has had its filthy claws in it, as they do in everything else.

... but the media tries hard not to play these up. It just pumps up whatever myths and lies the Bush Admin digs up out of its @#$!@#$.
