39% Giuliani
52% Obama

43% Giuliani
47% Clinton

42% McCain
50% Obama

48% McCain
44% Clinton

Iowa caucus voters know the candidates better than anyone, so they are a forecast of a general race next year. McCain actually beats Hillary by 4, while Obama crushes McCain by 8 points, a 12-point difference with Hillary.

THis poll is saying Obama is far more electable than Mrs. Clinton...

1. One state does not "electable" make.

I think I have now seen it all. One poll in one state is now evidence of electability.

2. Other polls people don't know who Obama is, but polls from IA and NH

are different, see? They know who he is and it registers differently, forecasting where a race next summer or fall could end up. This is unusual for a challenger and shows that Obama has something special going for him among Indies and even REpublicans if you look at the numbers in this poll.

3.  Margin of Sampling Error for this question = ± 4.3%
Which means it's a dead heat.

You aren't going to get a better MOE with such a small sample--fewer than five hundred people.

4. Iowa is a corrupt farm subsidy welfare state.
Too bad they get any say in our election process
