Once at a brunch at the Fountainbleu in Miami, my uncle found a bunch of empty parking spaces..RIGHT by the entrance, so he was jazzed, and did not see the signs..

When we came out, there was a big ole dent in the hood of his new Lincoln..and a coconut laying on the ground next to the car..

Examine the military alliance that we have in NATO and what it took to put together this comprehensive, effective, military alliance, years of training, coordination, commonality of equipment. The 32 nations that we have in Iraq are more of a detriment than they are of a gain. Polish, Bulgarian troops, who's protecting them? Italians, under what chain of command? Uh no, this 32 nations is a show, it's a sham, it's not real. That 'Southern Division' is not effective, especially, if as I fear, Iraq explodes into civil war. The Shi'a blow up against the United States and the coalition this summer, you're gonna see those 32 nations headin' for the hills, and we're gonna be stuck, all by ourselves, maybe with the British there to help us.

Miller: I don't know if the- listen; I think, Poland has done yeoman's service I th- I think ya do 'em disservice sayin' that's it's a bit of a joke. Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer has accused Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd of being unclear on whether Labor would pull troops out of Iraq if elected.

Mr Downer was referring to Mr Rudd's comments on breakfast television when he said some Australian troops would remain in Iraq under a Labor government.

Mr Downer accused Mr Rudd of telling voters whatever they want to hear.

"He's opposed to the war, he's opposed to the Americans being in Iraq and he thinks we should leave 900 troops there," he said.

"I mean, you can't get away with that, you cannot run a country that way, telling the public you believe something passionately but you are going to do something different."
