Pickens' Million Dollar Bet, Vyan's post, and DU. Why not take up Pickens' offer?

DUers Vyan and ProSense and MH1 have all put up threads combatting the swift lies, and DU Research Forum also has a continuing thread on the response to swifts.

So - in addition to Kerry challenging Pickens, why not DU? We could use some of the money to keep DU alive and KICKING HARD - and donate the rest to food banks, other needy organizations and to congressional candidates. We can even put some $$ into Vyan's blog and any other blog site that adds to the research.

What say you DU?

1. Pickens is -NOT- any sort of honorable man; he'll never hand over a dime.

Accepting his challenge would be a waste of time.

2. I would bet we could find alot more instances of him making the challenge.

And if he doesn't live up to his word, then let him be exposed publicly as a man who goes back on his word. His challenge was to ANYONE. If more people than Kerry take him up on that challenge, then corpmedia can't get away with just needling Kerry.

There were dozens of vets being smeared by the swifts - every vet who served WITH Kerry was being smeared as liars, too. Every vet who testified at wintersoldier was smeared.

I can see a longterm benefit from a PILE-ON to this Pickens' challenge.

Might make the future swifts and their funders think twice.

He's a weasel. Even if we come at him with incontrovertible proof, he'll find some excuse to back out of the bet. Probably something like "I said if ONE person can prove it, not a whole group of commie pinkos".

Just the same, making the nickname CHICKEN PICKENS stick is a good mission.

but who actually believes that Pickens has any intention of paying out that money, he is playing games and it makes for a good diversion plus it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't have another smear campaign cooked up and this is a way to open the door for that..
