I think Dennis Kucinich is good looking...
There! I said it. There is a beauty and gentleness to his face that transcends ordinary good looks. I also didn't think Gore was stiff, found Kerry perfectly understandable... I guess not watching regular TEEVEE news has kept my perceptions kind of...my perceptions. If it were a looks contest, MAN Obama is awesome, John Edwards sure is cute as well, and if I can look like Hillary at her age, I would be very grateful.

It takes money to look your absolute best.

I don't think I will have any money left if any more "free market, economic structural adjusting, democracy spreading" rulers get elected/selected.

With Kucinich and Edwards, I get the feeling some of our hard earned cash might just stay home.

So back to looks— if that is all that matters. I like my hair highlighted every 6 weeks. It is my money! I would rather spend it on my hair then have it "spread democracy".

1. for me, looks aren't vital to being President
I don't care if Kucinich had pointed ears, he's still the best choice in my book.

2. I agree!
It is ridiculous to even think about it. Unfortunately I hear about his "looks" a lot. Even on DU, so I thought I would give a shout out to the others— there must be others— who disagree with the perception management that is going on. Both the left and the right do it.

3. Look at what we're saddled with right now in the White House.
That alone should give absolute proof that looks don't matter in a President.

5. Honestly
The one place where I agree with those at FR is that he looks kind of like an elf or gnome, I dunno.

He has a pleasant smile, though. I think the same thing about Ron Paul though, he kinda reminds me of my Grandpa though, whereas Dennis reminds me of my Father-in-Law (good man, not a dig).

He might look less pretty when he stands next to his gorgeous wife though.

6. Big Brain SEXY! Reminds me of my dad...
I couldn't ever imagine him wasting $400 on a haircut...

"Born in Cleveland in 1946, Dennis Kucinich is the eldest of seven children and the son of working class parents. As a child Kucinich was charged with the impossible task of scouring the newspaper in order to find his family affordable housing. Before Dennis was 17 the Kucinich’s moved over 20 times; at several points resorting to the only shelter they could find: their car. Kucinich worked his way through college, going on to receive a master’s degree, and at 31 was elected Mayor of his hometown in 1977– the youngest Mayor in America at the time. In 1996 Kucinich was elected to the United States Congress and, eight years later, the boy who lived most of his early life in and out of a tattered sedan would set out on a quest to become president. Today, that quest continues.

As reported in the Boston Globe: “If people want to know what kind of president I’ll be,” said Kucinich, “they only have to know my background to know who I’m in government to represent: those who aspire to decent jobs, a decent wage, health care, a roof over their heads, education for their children…
I come to the political system as an advocate for people, not an advocate for any special interest group. That really is what distinguishes me from anyone else in this race.”"
