and would be perfectly happy if the strike ran through the primary season--the 1988 strike lasted 22 weeks. I'm surprised Karl Rove isn't taking credit for "arranging it all" with the Hollywood elites he sleeps with while continuing to publicly complaint that they're too liberal.

...Without the threat of ridicule from "The Daily Show," "The Colbert Report" or "SNL," the presidential candidates get sloppy. With conventions looming, Rudy Giuliani drops nouns and verbs from his sentence construction and simply repeats "9/11" over and over. A fearless Hillary Clinton begins jogging to McDonald's with her husband. (link)

3. I stopped watching all the news shows
It was getting bad for my mental health, and since none of the talk shows you mention are new, well, I miss them, but I've got some free time to do other things.

Hopefully the strike will be over soon.

5. IFC and Sundance Channels are still lots of fun
This week IFC is showing some really interesting stuff. I miss the comedy stuff too and even the re-runs have been re-run so many times that I know the lines by heart. Thank god for the net and netflix. My man and I watched old episodes of the Carol Burnett show last night and laughed our arses off. There's some good vintage stuff out there and I might add, BOOKS are still and always will be a great source of entertainment.

7. I've been reduced to reading books for entertainment
It's like living in the Nineteenth Century.

8. Bite me.
Why are you on the internet? And no, I still won't support HC.

But enjoy that book!
