GOP debates and fart jokes

For those of us pissed at lap dog Wolf Blitzer's stupid questions last night give him at least a little credit; Some substance came out of the Dem debates.

You would never say that about the GOP candidates. Even if you agree with Ron Paul on one or two things.

I like Ron Paul only because he's stirring up the pot of knucklehead Republicans running for president.

And even with Paul in the running there still is no worthwhile reason to watch the GOP debates. Always a scripted affair, each debate ignores all facts (save and except for Ron Paul once in a while).

Here's how a GOP debate is run:

Questions to candidate's A through G:

1. Will you go extra hard on terrorists? (won't ask how or why nor how to pay for it)

2. Which one of you is the toughest against a woman's right to choose?

3. Who would bomb Iran the most or first?

4. Who would cut taxes even more for the ultra wealthy?


OK so maybe they don't use those specific words, but that's the main focus of the debate. A group of Neanderthals trying to vie for the distinction of becoming the top cretin amongst the boors.

So why bother watching? Just to see Ron Paul?

I wouldn't enter an elevator going down from the second floor if someone had let a nasty fart go before I entered. Except that by watching a GOP debate you're taking the elevator down from the top of the Sears Tower while a whole team inside has dined on baked beans and prunes from the night before.

Again: Why bother?

I take the stairs. Republican leaders are always full of shit.

So from this perspective last night's Democratic party debates weren't half bad. Even with a wimp lap dog like Blitzer asking the questions...
