WASHINGTON (AFP) - Republican lawmakers on Wednesday demanded the retraction of a United Nations IPCC reports that describe the current and future costs of global warming.

They warned the findings of 2500 government-appointed climate scientists are riddled with errors and should not be allowed to stand.

"In the rush to score political points, apparently no one bothered to think about how many political points we'd lose on this issue," said Senator Sam Brownback and Representative Jim Saxton, top Republicans on the committee, in a statement.

"When erroneous information is injected into the public domain, those responsible are obligated to publicly withdraw this information.

2. Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change
Edited on Wed Nov-14-07 08:35 PM by Harper_is_Bush
Maybe you heard of 'em? :)

They're that UN committee that has produced several definitive, though largely considered conservative, reports on global warming. They're the "alarmists" all the deniers talk about.

They're actually meeting in Bali this week (Al Gore is going to be there) to hammer out the "executive summary" of the
4th report.

5. Bah. Global Warming never gets any activity. I thought...
...it was a good parody, if I don't say so myself.

And it highlights yet more Bush history-denial - not unlike global warming denial.
