I have a question, why do the congress critters put a limit on how long they can ask questions
and get answers such as now on the Waxman Hearings. I have lots of time to get it right and very little time to get it wrong. did I just answer my own question there

1. Probably because there are so many of them
They've got a limited amount of time (because of other committees, legislating stuff, etc), and they have to give everyone a chance to speak.

2. Because they're long winded enough
with the time limit. Some of those folks can talk for days on end without actually saying anything. I honestly don't know how anyone could stand to be a part of that droning nightmare, I can't even stand to watch it.

The "best" of them can talk for half an hour asking a "question" while spouting views and not actually ever asking a question.
