I've Finally Figured Out What The Deal Is With The '08 Election
Now that Al Gore is definitely not running.

Now that Obama & Edwards are fading.

It all comes down to the inevitible decision which we must face as voting Americans.

Either vote for the continuance of the Monarchy, by voting for someone many of us dislike.

Or, the alternative....allow a repub candidate, someone we despise even more, to be elected.

So....DECIDE!! What's it gonna be? Someone you think is bad for this country. Whose policies you're going to end up criticizing for the next 4-8 years. A continuance of the Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Clinton DYNASTY, which will go down in the history books as the most FUCKED UP PERIOD in Amerikan history.

Or else you can get stuck with something even worse.

But this is the choice we're now faced with. The primaries are just meaningless window dressing. The media is salivating over the prospect of an election between a woman that 55% of the public Won't vote for, and a repub candidate that 55% of the public Won't vote for.

This fractured excuse for a country, is about to become more divided, if that were even possible. Oh, what great choices we have, on who to lead us. Someone we dislike, or someone we hate.

3. Let Me Know When Biden Breaks 5%
When Colbert can poll higher than Biden, and not even be a legal candidate, that tells me a lot about Biden's chances.

Not a single vote has been cast yet.

If you're in FL. Sorry.

2. What if an Obama-Edwards ticket is announced tomorrow?
Lots of time left, don't you think?

And, yes, when it comes down to it, I'll probably be just another among the Moron Army who votes for somebody I hate "because of the Supreme Court," or "because of the hate amendment," or "because of..."

We're all morons.

7. This Is What I Have A Problem With
Whenever a repub tells me they voted for * because he was the repub nominee, blah, blah, blah....I tell them that's BULLSHIT!

I'd be an awful big hypocrite, if I turned around and voted for and supported someone I did not agree with, who I thought was wrong for the country, JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE A DEMOCRAT.

I have a problem backing up my criticism of *, by doing the same thing all those MORON repubs did.

13. You're confusing morons with morans.
I won't vote for anybody simply because s/he's a Democrat. Well, maybe in those local things where you don't have a clue who the people are or exactly what the job is that they want to do.

16. You Wouldn't Know It From All The Criticism Here
As soon as someone says they're not voting next November, if Hillary is the nominee, they're immediately jumped on. They're attacked and accused of helping to allow the repub to win by default.

The mantra here seems to be, that if you are a Democrat, you MUST VOTE FOR THE NOMINEE. Because the alternative is so much worse.

So yes, there are plenty of Morans here, who will vote for WHOEVER the nominee is. Even if they think the person is all wrong for the country.

What choice do we really have though? Tweedledum Or Tweedledee.

30. so go ahead and don't vote. that will make it easier for
the repugs to steal the office . . . again.

most important, imo, is that we get a veto-proof house and senate. it will matter less who the prez is then . . . unless the congress critters vote in lockstep with the prez you don't like. sound familiar?

the choices may not be the best, but the alternative is decidedly worse.

4. I still hold that it ain't over till it's over
In 04' at this point, Dean would clearly be the leader. Didn't turn out that way...

You are correct though, this could turn out to further polarize this nation.

10. CLINTON IS NOT DEAN!!!!
Dean was a time bomb, that the Democratic leadership was WAITING to explode. He got thrown to the wolves awful quick.

Doubt that's going to happen here. They're going with Hillary, all the way this time. Nothing is going to stand in her way of the nomination. NOTHING.

Unfortunate by true.

19. Dean was the leader
in spite of the media and the establishment. Dean scared people because he built up a lead through the grass roots and through a new way of using the internet. When it scared enough people, he was taken down promptly.

14. Well I'm supporting Biden. But calling him handsome is slightly daffy
He's probably the candidate who'd pull in the largest majority on our side. I'm supporting him. But "handsome"?

Dude, those hair plugs just drive me batty. If he had the balls to go with the full Picard on his melon, he'd be the one they're calling inevitable.

It's not that it's hysterical to spell America with a K instead of a C. The problem is that it's just so trite.

11. NO... and you can't force people to by framing it like this
"So....DECIDE!!"

The primaries are NOT just meaningless window dressing and you are acting like a child. The time to decide and the decision to be made is not "Either vote for the continuance of the Monarchy, by voting for someone many of us dislike.

Or, the alternative....allow a repub candidate, someone we despise even more, to be elected."

It is "Do you want to vote for Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Kucinich, Biden, Dodd, Richardson, Gravel to be our nominee? Vote for your choice when your primary election or caucus comes up" *May not be available in all states, including Florida and Michigan.

Stop being so disingenuous.

18. Let's Wager Then
I tell you what. I'm willing to wager a $20 donation to DU, if Hillary is not the nominee in '08. In fact, I'd be willing to wager a $200 donation on that eventuality.

I've yet to find a person, even among those who claim it's not over yet, who will take that bet.

I stand by what I said. The primaries are window dressing. The general election will be a close, close race. The Corporate Media Whores will Love It! I have ZERO DOUBT this is how it will play out, and I'm willing to back it up.

25. What exactly does that have to do with you
telling us all to get behind Clinton now? I won't wager $200 on it, mainly because I don't have that kind of money and it is obviously not a sure bet. I'm not saying there's no chance she will be nominated. She has a war chest of money.. Sorry, but I have to pay $400 for some anesthesia on Saturday that my damned health insurance should cover, but refuses.

On the day of the convention, if Hilary Clinton is the winner, you will give $20 to DU.

If not, I will.

But, that has nothing to do with you trying to tell everyone to give up hope now. If she is the nominee, I have already decided that I will vote for the lesser of two evils, mainly her. But I find it offensive to try to tell everyone "It's over. Give up now" when we haven't even had the first primary.

27. Your conclusion springs from an entirely false premise...obama and edwards are NOT fading
Hillary is the one who faded last week.

I suggest that you read the news before you spout off like a know it all.

In any case, it will be the voters who decide. Not pontificators.

That's why we have primaries, not coronations.
