Armitage's second apology
It was the second time that he had apologized for leaking Ms. Wilson’s name, an act that helped spark one of the C.I.A. leak scandal, which resulted in the conviction of I. Lewis Libby, the vice president’s chief of staff.

3. National Review: Armitage "took the blame...it was entirely unintentional"
Richard Armitage appeared on CNN today, discussing Pakistan but also addressing his role as the original leaker in the CIA leak affair. He took the blame for leaking Valerie Plame Wilson's identity, but he also gave us a bit more evidence to show that, from his perspective at least, it was entirely unintentional. But there must be a conspiracy in there somewhere.

This is exactly the kind of BS this is supposed to generate to cast doubt on Libby's conviction and the WH's involvement.

5. Richard Armitage is a PNAC member.
He has been around long enough to know better than to blurt out a Covert CIA Operative
& a Covert CIA Operation: Brewster Jennings & Assoc. He hasn't explained why he did this.
