The Bush Admin in a Nutshell

Once you have broken international law/committed war crimes ...

"Justice (in my view of things) is the last priority" Jeff Addicott (Admin Advisor). According to him being at "war" usurps human rights, international law, American law, justice, the Constitution, or anything else that stands in the way of their (the Admin and its tentacle's) right to do whatever they want. Sounds like a student of Goering to me.

So, basically, the Admin says in time of war it can do whatever, wherever, whenever, it wants - screw international law, screw the Constitution, screw being held accountable.

So, if there is a war on, the admin can order: a tap on YOUR phone, interrogate your son/daughter, freeze your assets/confiscate your property, send you to a foreign country to be tortured, suspend any and all Constitutional protections afforded you or your family, if THEY (a handful of folks) so choose - because, after all, it is a time of war. And, they don't need to provide any explanation, proof, or facts - to you or anyone else - nor will they ever be held accountable for any damage they may cause you or your family - because they've granted themselves and their cohorts immunity. Isn't that convenient?

So, what does Lindsey Graham think of that? Or John McCain? Or, any of the spineless Dems that attempted to 'punt' the impeachment 'ball' today.

My guess, it's eating them up - but, only if they have a conscience and any love/understanding of what this country is all about. And, given their histories, perhaps McCain and Graham, will experience this 'pain' more so than others. They get it -- but, for some reason I don't understand, they continue to vote contrary to their consciences.

Given the AG recommend vote today by the Judiciary Cte and the Impeachment Article farce today as well as the litany of admin offenses perpetuated against the Constitution and our most basic national values --- one has to wonder whether the democracy our forefathers envisioned can actually survive.
