sad
but I wonder if they also know that a stranding VP who is also a current candidate would do better in the polls next year?

Not sure, but could be an ulterior motive there.

1. its exactly what the repubs want--a vote where they defeat the impeachment resolution
and make chimpy and cheney look like winners.

3. If the Dems are smart, they'll say, see, we tried to table this but the Republicans
insisted on debating whether or not Dick Cheney should be impeached. So I guess we'll be having that discussion.

Are they that smart? That's debatable too.

4. It's a setup
There is nothing they would love more than to embarrass Democrats with an impeachment debate that Pelosi promised not to bring.

7. A smart person could dispose of that in about a minute.
"The public has spoken."

Make that, five seconds.

9. Looks like a slap in the face to Hoyer which is fine by me. At least the
"I" word has been exposed!

14. This is awful anyway you slice it
The worst outcome possible is that the impeachment gets no support and Republicans can spin it as support for Cheney.

This is just awful. We've been out-maneuvered again.

17. If Dems knew how to spin, they could spin it differently, but they
only know how to play 'nice'.

Be sure you contact Kucinich and thank him for setting this up. I'll bet the Republicans are.

13. It says that they want the vote to be defeated on an up or down vote.
Maybe you think this is a bad thing? No, it ought to be voted on so that every member can go *on record*. Do they support this administration, or not?

Let the record speak for itself.

8. Republicans' know damn well that an impeachment bill
wouldn't pass. So they are all for it...that way cheney would not be considered impeachable. Correct. Think about it.

10. Well,...I braved calling my Republican congress-critter and said, "ENOUGH"!!!
Maybe, we should remember that our "representatives", D or R, are suppose to represent ALL OF US.

Stop limiting your energies toward any party.

You must contact your representative without bias about his/her political affiliation. True?

12. Perhaps that should clue you in to something huh?
I can't believe that people don't understand this. The pukes WILL win a floor vote on the impeachment of darth, I guarantee you and will bet a fucking mortgage payment on it. They want to force it to the floor to embarass the Democrats again and of course the Democrats are being fully complicit in it and will happily be embarassed.
