infrastructure for the fascist takeover that happened after 1936 or so. Comparing it to the last 6 years here.

No. Hitler was elected in 1933. By 1936 quite a lot had happened. Internally what had happened by then was far more dire than what's happened internally in the U.S. The Nuremberg Laws had been passed, Concentration Camps set up and the press was completely under the control of the State.

19. Yes, she made it clear that none of the worst of it has been enacted here yet

though the press here is basically run by the WH. Her claim is that if Bush wanted to pass something like the Nuremberg Laws, declaring that Muslims have lost their rights, it could possibly happen. In fact * has said out loud that he will no longer abide by anything Congress does, and no one in Congress has said they disapprove. And between Gitmo and rendition, we are pretty far toward camps. Hitler's "legal" underpinnings for a dictatorship were enacted between 32 and 36.
