BUGLIOSI for 3 hours on C-SPAN 2. SCOTUS "two right wing loons"
He's starting to discuss 2000. Says the Court is made up of "two rightwing loons" who are dangerous and (other things about Anthony KENNEDY I missed).

He was outraged at SCOTUS. "These justices belong behind prison bars." (Shrub v. GORE). "I was in a state of rage. These people can't get by with it. I've got to do something, stain their legacies or something (wrote book about them)."

He says he doesn't own a computer, writes (11 books) longhand, for his secretary to type, and he inserts more parts into the first typescript. He seriesly needs to get a PC.

1. "What SCALIA did..."
"After the electronic counting, (Shrub) was ahead by 300 votes. Manual re-count... was proceeding well, expeditiously.. and at two o'clock in the afternoon, this Antonin SCALIA, this disgrace, steps in and said 'We've got to discontinue the recount because if we continue it can threaten harm of George BUSH by clouding the legitimacy of George BUSH's election.' Even though the election had not been decided, this outrageous SCALIA was declaring that (Shrub) had won and had a right to win. Only a criminal on the run would say something demented like that. They committed one of the most serious crimes in American history. And they should spend the rest of their lives in prison."

11. Very true, H2O.
Even if he says or writes something with which I disagree, I still have respect for him, because I can tell he put a lot of thought into what he said.

He definitely doesn't just pull things out of the air and proclaim them true. He thinks things through, and uses reason and logic in a very fine way.

6. I like his reasoning on Bush V. Gore.
Throws Scalia's own words back in his face on the primary function of the SC being to establish legal precedent. The SC Court for the first time in 210 years said their ruling was limited to the case before them.

You can tell he's still angry about that ruling. Talking about how the Supreme Court got by with it. Ken Starr got by with his bogus witch hunt. Bush sends our kids to war on a bogus premise and he's gotten by with it so far.

These things would never happen in Europe, he says. Not even one of these things.

I would be very skeptical of any research by Billo.

16. His words soothed my soul after Election 2000
I knew when he published first his article which later became the book I was not wrong to be so incensed about the election. No one was speaking out with such clarity at that time.

Years ago, I had read his book on Manson, and I knew his reputation and acumen. I am sorry I missed this interview but perhaps it's available on the C-SPAN website. I will check it out.

I wonder how he reacts when he hears Sandra Day O'Connor remark, as she did as recently as this year, that Supreme Court decision in Bush v. Gore was a no-brainer. That exactly is my sentiment, but probably not in the vein in which Ms. O'Connor intended her words....

17. The three remaining SCOTUS members who voted for this travesty should
be impeached.Their "one time only,no precedence, here's your presidency, Mr. Bush " ruling was a disgrace.

18. There should have been immediate impeachment of Rehnquist/Scalia ---
Do we really need Bugliosi to tell us that our SC has been corrupted --- that at the highest levels of government the steal was pulled off?

And -- where was the response -- ????

Nothing ---
