But something tells me next month BushCo will still be claiming the unemployment rate went down again.

1. I would say it's more to do with building cars nobody wants than
whether or not people are buying cars. Japanese manufacturers are doing fine.

2. Yes they are - and a look at their cost structure
is very illuminating when considering the reasons why.

3. I have a friend who deals in auto parts & he LOVES Chrysler
Says their cars are the WORST ones, and they make more money selling parts to repair them ,than Honda/Nissan/Toyota COMBINED :)

5. Consumer Reports no longer blanket-recommends Toyotas
Could it be that they're made in America and it's finally caught up with them? Just sayin.

7. You could be right..cost cutting causes problems down the road
and as long as we do not have national health coverage, our manufactured stuff will always have to cost more and be subject to cutting corners to save a buck.. in covilized countries, employers can just hire people to do a job, and not have to worry about how to find the money to pay for their health care..and with people able to change jobs at will, there is always a scramble to pay the good ones enough to keep them :)..everybody wins..(except the bloated, greedy middlemen/insurers we have now)

6. ,...and another home is foreclosed.
;(

Some days, it really does seem this country is in a tail spin quickly approaching a deadly crash.

I guess Grover is very happy, though.
