6. Very good question. I say tomorrow, and no later than Friday.
Of course Boehner (Boner?) will push for a formal resolution to condemn Code Pink. The Dems will run to the microphones, sphincters tightened, to condemn Code Pink and apologize. If that's not good enough, then they will pass a formal resolution to condemn Code Pink.

Next week, expect at least three more similar efforts to condemn anyone who dares criticize Bush and the war.

Our only consolation is that Rush might bust a gut and croak from laughing too hard at the Dems.

10. I know
if some of these DUers would have been around in the 60's and 70's they would have condemned all the radicals who helped end that war as well. Congress doesn't give two shits if you write them namsy pamsy letters and say "pretty please stop this war" you need to be in the streets on TV, in their faces making them look terrible and shutting down as much of the system as you can until they give in.

22. People don't understand the function of a group like Code Pink....
which is to clear space (even while they are being condemned) for other, less outrageous people to bring up the same issues and be heard. Code Pink reminds me of the group Act Up in the eighties, and the Yippies in the sixties. They push the envelope as to what is acceptable protest, and create what is basically political theatre.

Philip Slater said this much better in his book Earthwalk (I think), and I'm sure someone with an extensive knowledge of the history of political action could give a better explanation. But groups like Code Pink will always be condemned even while others are benefiting from the risks they take. They are an important element in any movement for change.

12. Not Only Will Code Pink Be Condemned
Not only will Code Pink be condemned, but Code Pink will also be forced to say that it is "insignificant".

18. As far as THIS Democrat is concerned.....
never. I think today's actions were brilliant and effective. Just as Bush wants many billions of dollars for war this Code Pink lady makes all the front pages with her poignant demonstration. As a Democrat I stand with this lady and this statement in front of all the world.

20. The Dems should adopt the old Brenda Lee song, "I Apologize" as their new
theme ditty, instead of "Happy Days are Here Again."
