OK, So this Republican goes to New Hampshire....
Rudy will have some explaining to do in New York after telling a New Hampshire crowd he'll root for Yankees' archrival, the Red Sox, in the World Series. (Can you say Flip - Flop?!?!?!?!?!)

He is very good at living down to expectations.
He is a split-tongued, opportunistic hypocrite of the Nth degree.

4. The facts in the OP are TRUE, though. He DID say it.

Read all about it, here: http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/10/24/rudy-red-sox-reaction/

But even our jaws dropped yesterday when we heard Rudolph W. Giuliani, the world’s number-one Yankee fan, say he was rooting for the Red Sox.
Mr. Pinstripes had recently slammed Hillary Clinton for a wishy-washy display when she was asked to choose between rooting for the Yanks or the Chicago Cubs in a (very) hypothetical World Series. She chose both, or, looked at another way, didn’t stand up for either (though both New York and Illinois are reliable blue states).
Mr. Giuliani happened to be in the shadow of Wrigley Field shortly after Mrs. Clinton’s remarks, and here’s what he said: “Don’t you respect me for telling you the truth that I’m a Yankees fan? Don’t hold it against me. I hope the Cubs win a World Series the year the Yankees aren’t in it.”
Except for yesterday, when Mr. Giuliani pledged fealty to the Red Sox before a Boston crowd, he has long enjoyed standing up for his Yankees — at Mrs. Clinton’s expense.

7. No prob--I'm from Beantown, for some years I lived close enough to
Fenway Park that I could go up on my roof and see a small slice of the field, and hear the roar of the crowd with my windows open. Back then, you could go to the park after the game started and get a seat in the bleachers for a quarter or fifty cents (can't do that nowadays...).

It's in my blood--I had a great uncle who came up between the wars (One and Two) and before he was drafted, used to walk five miles to the park, turn the turnstile for the paying ticketholders (he was a strong feller, and those things were heavy--some fans had trouble pushing to get through) and then he'd get to enjoy the game for free. Then, he'd walk home! No wonder there weren't any fat people back in the day...!

When I saw Rudy pulling that shit, I couldn't HELP but sit up and take notice!

8. Wow...
No kidding! I moved to Maine from Jersey in 98 and met my present husband. He is the most loyal Sox fan...and to make a long story short...I got sucked right in. I love this team right down to my toes.
When you were telling me about your uncle I got this visual from the movie Fever Pitch. (When his uncle was driving the car saying "these guys will break your heart")
I've never been so proud of the Sox...a bunch of scrappers at times, but they've managed to get it done! Can't wait for tonight! :woohoo:

Good idea for an anti Ghouliani campaign poster.
A sign with him in his Yankees cap and jacket plastered on every
telephone pole in New England.
