1. i have never considered this but is fema responsible to have plans for fire
if it gets beyond the ability of the state to handle it.

i know they respond to all sorts of disasters. do they have fire equipment or access to suitable military/guard equipment.

it seems like they have done nothing as usual except help clean up afterward.

4. Isn't that the truth
Another FEMA clusterfuck. Why weren't these jets extinguishing fires on Saturday night and Sunday? Nevermind Bushie is heading for his photo op.

5. Wonder if they will try to re-locate these people to Texas
so they can make California red like they did Lousiana

6. San Diego county is already red
In the sisterhood of California cities, San Diego is the bat-shit crazy aunt that needs supervision to make sure she doesn't hurt herself. Partly due to the big Navy presence, the place is a red as Idaho or Oklahoma and good ol' Duke Cunningham is typical of the local politicians. Oh I know, there are some liberals in places like Hillcrest and the blue Hispanic population balances it out some, but most of the Anglos there are certifiable nut-cases. The military industrial complex has ruined the quality of life there, hogging three fine airports while forcing the city to use a Unicom strip on the bay as a place to land commercial jet traffic. If that wasn't enough, the Border Patrol has succeeded in creating a Berlin Wall for the 21st century, complete with aerial, night vision, and colonoscopic surveillance.

Maybe there is hope. Maybe the fire will burn out all the John Birchers and it can be resettled with people who can build a sense of community.

Yikes. Fortunately your screen name is memorable and I happen to speak Spanish.
