When discussing how Valerie Plame was outed as a family member of Wilson (fair game), Wilson/Plame mentioned that Rove's wife was not outed. Couric responded...Roves' wife was not CIA. Wilson/ Plame responded: How do you know?? Good response but what makes Couric look stupid is that her response implies that BEING CIA makes it OK to be outed! She's a pathetic excuse for a journalist.

I did not see it, since I was watching KeithO on NBC. 60 Minutes used to be known for "going after" the people they interviewed. When they morphed into Sunday's episode of "Entertainment Tonight" they switched to doing almost all 'suck up' interviews, like their recent puff piece on Blackwater. So now they will pretend to be the old muckraking 60 Minutes when they interview Democrats or critics of Bush. Oh come on, are we supposed to believe this is objective?

Maybe I just have lowered expectations, but that wasn't the hatchet job I was expecting. It actually surprised me with it's lack of vitriol, and saying boldly she was covert. My ear perked up when I heard that Plame's new book is corporately tied to CBS. This was my personal explanation for the relative even handedness. Anyway, regardless of Kouric, Plame came off very, very well.

I haven't seen the non-broadcast clips, though. I need to check those out.
