I can't believe we've come to this. I had a thought today. I almost think the WH press corp should be an elected body of some sort. Stringent regulations of course as far as campaigning, there could be none. Simply a submission of each candidate's published works and their record of accuracy on stories. Or term limits on Press Corp duty or something. Something has to make these people do their jobs or all is lost.

really kicked in yet. You see, you usually start with government owned media. The people grow up knowing that what they see on television is government sanctioned. That's why they are far more saavy about being taken by talking heads, than we are. We just don't see it coming because of all that stuff about America and freedom of speech, blah, blah, blah.

I think you shouldn't even be given citizenship papers, if you can't prove you can critically think, because, being an American carries a huge responsibility to understand the Constitution which makes us different than any other country in the world, and it sure does look like too many people have yielded to others, the power to remove the very freedoms that make us Americans.
