Pete Stark was wrong.
No, no. I don't want him to apologize, and I'm glad he lost his temper over the bullshit; it's just he got it wrong on one essential point: bush doesn't send troops to get their heads blown up for his amusement, he does it out of GREED and hubris. He wants the oil and he wants war profits for his co-conspirators. I wish that got said more often.

2. I'm sure it is, but that still is the bottom
line- that and revenge on Saddam.

3. Oh crap, this shit again? And I've seen the threads where you even
hi-jacked most of the wording. Do you not get tired of just posting crap to stip up trouble?

P.S. YOU think he was wrong. The majority of the county (and the people here) know he was right. What does that say about your reliability factor or how much you opinion is worth?

Go write a fan letter to Nancy if you've got so much time on your hands. The rest of us will try to get our party to fight the bush** administration and take the country back to what made it strong and admired for 200 years.

5. LOL.
yes, I always judge right and wrong on how popular any given stance is. NOT. What a piece of shit argument that is. You know where that can go right? I was against the Iraq war, and most of the country was for it.

Oh, and try reading the OP before you produce so much froth.

Out in the real world, you have even less. But that never stops you from posting crap.

19. Nice retort. I love it how you resort to inane juvenile spewage when
faced with proof that you are pretty much out-of-step with the real democrats in this party.

for it and he does not need to from what I understand his district is like. Sounds like he was representing his constituents.

What he did was let the republicans focus on his comments instead of what they did to the bill. That was what happened.

In the end, the truth hurts doesn't it.

7. I think he was dead on. bush is actually amused by the deaths of others.
If you have ever seen the video of him mocking the
woman (can't think of the name) he executed in Tx. you
would know what I mean.
And don't forget Katrina. He probably had a week long
boner from that death and destruction.

10. I have. I heard him mocking Carla Faye Tucker
years ago, and was shocked as all get out. But I think the larger issues are oil, greed and war profits. And we don't hear that enough.

I'm not really knocking Stark here. I totally appreciate his sincere outrage; I just wish that we heard more often what the bottom line is when it comes to the invasion and occupation of Iraq- and the potential bombing of Iran.

13. World War III
What disgusted me most was the sight of him giggling uncontrollably whilst predicting a third world war. The only thing which seems to amuse him is death so I find Stark's comment right on target.

8. I agree...
He got it wrong on the the reason Bush sends the troops, but I believe he sends them to fight for an end times scenario. (The oil and the profits are an added bonus)

12. I agree with both schools of thought.
dead soldiers are useful in Bush's fascist propaganda war,but it IS all about money and power.

15. Give Stark some time
He was talking about human lives because of the legislation in question. I would not be surprised to hear Stark weigh in on the oil/MIC element when he feels it'll have similar impact.

17. I think Stark's statement was more about the President's amusement of keeping the war going
and beating the Democrats and not so much about him being amused about the death of the soldiers. I understand exactly what Stark was trying to say.

20. * is a complete psychopath
Look at him smile every time he mentions war, casualties, basically anything bad when he speaks. He can't keep himself from cackling and smiling. It's about time somebody had the balls to call him on it - it's disturbing on so many levels.

The fact that * and his minions are profiteering from the war is just icing on the cake for *, IMO. The guy used to blow up frogs, fer fuck's sakes - he gets off on hurting and killing the living.
