Prepare to get annoyed--the worst quotes about the peace prize
(LM: These are among the quotes compiled by BBC News concerning Al Gore’s peace prize, and they are the quotes that you probably will not see elsewhere. If nothing else, they show what Gore’s been up against. The complimentary quotes are at the link below.)

TONY FRATTO, WHITE HOUSE SPOKESMAN
Of course is happy for Vice-President Gore (LM: Yep, you can feel the happiness) and happy for the international panel on climate change scientists who also shared the peace prize.

Obviously, it's an important recognition and we're sure the vice president is thrilled.

SPOKESMAN FOR CZECH PRESIDENT VACLAV KLAUS, CLIMATE CHANGE SCEPTIC
He is somewhat surprised that Al Gore got the Peace Prize, because the relation between his activities and world peace is unclear and indistinct.

It rather seems that Gore's questioning of the basic foundation stones of the current civilisation does not contribute to peace much.

JOSEPH BAST, HEARTLAND INSTITUTE
Al Gore doesn't understand the science behind climate change or he deliberately misrepresents it. Either way, that should disqualify him from a prize like this.

BJORN LOMBORG, AUTHOR OF THE SKEPTICAL ENVIRONMENTALIST
Awarding it to Al Gore cannot be seen as anything other than a political statement. Awarding it to the IPCC is well-founded. (Gore's film The Inconvenient Truth has) some very obvious mistakes, like the argument that we're going to see 6m of sea-level rise.

They (the Nobel committee) have a unique platform in getting people's attention on this issue, and I regret they have used it to make a political statement.

2. I can't be annoyed by any of these people, because they're all so easy to ignore.
Their statements make me kind of drowsy, but that's about it.

5. I sincerely doubt those are going to be the worst quotes
After all, Lamebawl's show hasn't been on yet. It's also too early for most freepers and Pox News to have been sharpening their poison pens.

I'm sure we'll see the worst quotes by Sunday, after the preachers have had their say in the pulpits.

7. if "the basic foundation stones of the current civilisation"
mean shitting where you live/eat, then perhaps we need to evolve into the next paradigm of civilization.

War, murder, hatred, and theft are "foundation stones of civilization too", but that doesn't mean we should not try to evolve beyond that.

8. Idiots!
They are annoying with their science denial.

These same creatures deny evolution, but it does seem to have skipped over them, so we can't really fault them for that.

11. Let them say what they want
The entire world knows how prestigious this award is ... and it now belongs to Al Gore. By giving it to him (and the IPCC), they have made it virtually impossible for anyone to ignore or deny climate change. They can question, criticize and even ridicule, but they can't change it ... and that's what is REALLY pissing them off.

Okay freaks, whatever. Just get out of the way if you don't want to help solve these major problems. We won't stop you.
