I signed up on DU 4 years ago today
I came to DU being a moderate Dem who didn't do much more than read a few headlines. Through DU, I have been exposed to C-SPAN, AAR, Keith Olbermann, The Daily Show and Colbert, House, Senate, and Thomas websites, numerous documentaries, many great books and countless other great resources. I went from barely knowing my Senators to being able to recognize probably 75% of all Senators by seeing them on C-SPAN to actually working on Congressional campaign.

I came to DU early in the 2004 primary season and my 1st exposure was the Kerry/Dean wars. I have been here through all the events and scandals since, at times knowing far more intimate details of some scandals that probably 75% of Americans even know existed. The list of hot topics can go on and on and on over the past 4 years that I have been here. You learn so much when you are on DU on a daily basis.

DU you have transformed my line of thinking and opened up a new world to me. I have truly been awakened.

Thank you so very much for changing my life and thank you for letting me share with all of you this wonderful website. I have loved my time here and look forward to much more in the future.
