Do you remember the day after last years election ?
How you felt. "Finally, we will now get on with ending the madness, they cannot stop us now!" This seemed to be the sentiment. It was GLORIOUS! Well, they are stopping us. Even after Nov 7th, THEY ARE STOPPING US! Our leaders are weak and they are failing misearably. IMPEACHMENT is hardly spoken about anymore. They are winning. WTF, WTF!

1. Impeachment was never on the table. This was stated openly.
However, I understand your frustration.

2. We are currently having a debate in the House over a war resolution.
This would NOT be happening without the nov. 7 victory.

The Wheels turn slow.

3. the congressional "Democrats,"
especially in the Senate, with the exception of a few issues, are all part of the same arch-capitalist cabal that is the enemy of democracy, America and the American people. Most of them have consistently voted FOR the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq, FOR the PATRIOT Act, FOR the bush cabal's nominees, FOR the bush tax cuts for the wealthy . . .

What the hell did we expect?

4. We've been in office less than 6 weeks. Geez
could you be any more hysterical? Did you think an evenly split Senate would end the war? (I say evenly split because of Lieberman).

I didn't.

Gear up for a fight. It will be bloody for at least the next two years. Then if we win, they'll start planning for a coup (errr, impeachment).

6. We're doing fine. Much has been accomplished in the first few weeks and
more is to come.

It's take the GOP congress 12 years and the president 6 years to drive us into this ditch. We're pretty far in and it's going to take a lot of work to get us out.

Magic doesn't occur in reality. It takes hard work to make changes.

8. Actually, they have been heading us into the ditch since 1980
When they changed regs on corporations and media ownership rules. Line their pundits out on the airways to do the mass brainwashing needed on chunks of the masses. They took plenty of time to get their ducks in line so Cheney could blast a lawyer AND the Constitutions.

Won't be fixed in several years, but we are off to a damned good start, aren't we!

9. I totally understand the frustration, but really, its only been a bit
over a month. It takes time for these things.

I believe the congressmen who are saying that the non-binding resolution is only the beginning.
