How are the Dixie Chicks playing in Lubbock these days?

Not too well, it seems. Registration required if you want to read the whole thing, but here's a sample of the insanity that is my home town.
http://forums.lubbockonline.com
(click on dixie Chicks)

"gringo...you just saw the leftist machine @ work my man! their tour was a flop...the album ho hum compared to others sales... hmmm....5 grammys...there is your conspiracy folks!!! as the pink floyd would say, "welcome to the machine..." it's discouraging to see so few people who can see through the cloak. i understand mr. california's point of view, since he's from the cereal state (fruits, nuts, and flakes:>)...anyway, just far to many ill informed, shallow little folks... that's all..."

"ie chick maines i,am a shamed you were born in the same state as me . you should give up telling people your from lubbock texas because you make people in this town won,t to barf."

"boy, i don't know what you guys are listening to. the "chix" have yet to produce anything but sonic doo doo!!! they are receiving awards and all of this balogna from the hollywood anti bush leftists.... you guys sure are easy... btw-what we now call country music in general as well as 99% of the pop/rap/hiphop BS isn't worth the toilet paper that the lyrics are written on...just a bunch of cookie cutter songs... REAL musicians would give very little of it the time of day... find some real music if you dare...coltrane, miles davis, hendrix, duane allman, chet atkins, merle travis, LLB's,hank, hell even willy if you like, but leave this souless, clueless, overprocessed, under thought music of the "earless masses" to the teenage punks and the tone deaf!!! haha!!!you funny guys!!!"

1. Not to be cruel
but you can really see bush's Texas education system hard at work in those Posts. Looks like not only did they Leave Every Child Behind, but they left them behind without any books on spelling! And that's rilly SERIES!

2. "The Pink Floyd"
I thought it was Mr. Floyd? And who would name him Pink? I am not a country fan, but will probably buy that album next time I am out.

8. Mr. Floyd .....
"Well I've always had a deep respect,

And I mean that most sincerely.

The band is just fantastic,

that is really what I think.

Oh by the way, which one's Pink? "

Pink Floyd, Have A Cigar, Welcome To The Machine.

3. To be fair, there are plenty of country music fans who love the Dixie Chicks
It's the flag-waiving, monster truck rednecks, Alan Jackson and Toby Keith types who are making the most noise, keeping their music off the air.

7. Wouldn't know it from listening to him
Could have fooled me with lyrics like these:

So we prayed to Allah with all of our might
Until those big U.S. jets came flyin one night
They dropped little bombs all over their holy land
And man you should have seen em run like rabbits, they ran

Could have fooled me, the way he viciously attacked the Dixie Chicks.

Could have fooled me, with his support of *

anti Dixie-Chick attacks were media fabrication.

He said he was always against the Iraq war

He seems like a horse's ass to me, but I don't

know much about country music. And he is definitely
not my cup of tea

10. Funny how his anti-war stance only recently came about
Where was his anti-war stance when we invaded Iraq? Oh that's right - he was singing about shoving a boot up their ass, because it's the "American Way".

5. Do they have elementary schools in Lubbock? It would seem that the
commentators quoted failed to attend them.
