13. Oh hell no.
Republicans tend to have more kids than Democrats and have more totalitarian households. If my 18 year old kid became a Republican, I'd throw them out of the house. I can do that because they'd legally be an adult, and if they're going to demonstrate that kind of stupidity, they can do it under a roof other than my own.

What if my 16 year old kid voted Republican? I can't legally kick them out, but you can damned well bet that I'd ground the shit out of them and practice some serious tough love. That threat alone would probably be enough to sway their votes.

Now imagine a Republican father of five making that same threat to his brood.

8. after they submitted their selections
we had a great talk about the questions and why they were worded like they were

and how the different positions mattered.

all I can say is WOW we have some smart kids. They don't let all the shit cloud their opinions. To them it is black or white and no crap inbetween.

many who think they're conservatives are not when you get right down to it.

15. Exactly
I've noticed many of my friends who identify themselves as "conservatives", are usually pretty liberal. Many of them don't follow politics, but have positions on every issue. If you work on an issue-to-issue basis, they are usually liberal.
