MSNBC: David Shuster sitting in for #ucker Carlson ... INFINITELY better!
Edited on Tue Oct-02-07 05:20 PM by TahitiNut
I gotta say it's a breath of fresh air. I was reaching to change the channel - a learned response to seeing ">TUCKER" soiling the screen and, lo and behold! - David.

Kewl!

8. Well, he's using #ucker's production staff.
Edited on Tue Oct-02-07 05:19 PM by TahitiNut
Let's never misunderestimate the influence of the producers. The topics and story-lines they follow are persistent ... and they keep (in effect) a Rolo-Dex of 'sources' and guests. It's not something that can really change that much in a day or two, even though they work with 'current' developments.

9. except for his infatuation with Clarence Thomas. did you see that garbage last night?
he finds him fascinating, compelling, not a huge LIAR/hypocrite

that really infuritated me.

Shuster is a very strange bird. infinitely superior to Carlson/Matthews, obviously, but hard to fathom

12. Didn't see it. Mentions of Thomas trigger my channel-switch reflex, too.
The man overstimulates my bile ducts ... sours me from head to toe. I was one of Thurgood Marshall's biggest fans in the country - and nobody could have been more disgusted than I was at Thomas's confirmation in 1991. Nobody. It's NOT about being an 'offended' race or gender ... it's about being a decent human being, none of whom could stifle disgust at Thomas, imho.
