I'm sure NYers know about this, but this story is new to me...Guiliani:
What an evil bastard! I knew about him taking Nathan to the Mayor's Mansion while Donna and his kids were still living there, but I've never heard this story. The man is a jackass!

Nasty, Mean-Spirited and Small-Minded Cuss

It's very hard to describe exactly how mean and nasty Giuliani is without using swear words or salty language. A couple of examples from his second marriage should do the trick. Imagine now, Giuliani (as of about 1999) is the most famous person in New York City, and his wife is a TV anchorwoman, also very famous. He has been having a very public affair with his 28 year old press secretary for years, not really even trying to hide it as they go out to dinner in public. That affair ends and he takes up with a new woman.

His wife goes about her business with a considerable amount of class -- yes, she starts using her maiden name again, and refuses to appear at public events with Rudy, but that's about it. So Rudy ups the ante. He knows his wife loved their long walks together, a favorite romantic memory. So on MOTHER'S DAY, he arranges a long walk with his new girlfriend -- and notifies all of the New York tabloids, who of course cover it in excruciating detail. Think about this -- his wife is a NEWSCASTER, so all day long, her workplace is filled with video of Rudy and his mistress, and his WIFE is supposed to announce it on the news. On Mother's Day. I have no idea if she actually did. But I think we can all agree, what a PRICK.

This wasn't even enough. He brought his mistress into the Mayor's mansion while his wife and children was still living there, forcing her to go to court to stop him, and had his lawyer savagely attack Hanover. Later, when he finally was man enough to seek a divorce, he announced it on live TV -- without telling his wife or kids first.

1. I remember that press conference
Rudy was just a pitiful has-been at that point, barely governing, just letting the last days (I think he still had a year or so to go) of his Admin wind down.

3. He is definitely an selfish, arrogant, self-centered, evil asshole!
He was praised by a lot of people for targetting the homeless, targetting adult businesses, and targetting poor neighborhoods. I could never understand why people that these were good things to do.

He gave absentee landlords passes on everything, and only really targetted poor people over and over and over again. He targetted gay adult businesses far more consistently and harshly than straight ones. And, damn it, the homeless need help, not a bully making their lives even worse.

4. Remember when he sold city lots used as neighborhood gardens to developers without
even telling the neighborhood people who were growing crops and flowers? They people found out when the heavy equipment arrived to tear up their wonderful plots.

5. I don't remember the Mother's Day thing but
I do remember the announcement of the divorce. What a way for his kids to find out. It's one thing if he's got some kind of beef with his wife but how can anyone with even half a heart do something like that to his kids?! They were little at the time too. I think at least one of them found out when some kid at school told him.

Bastard, prick, son of a bitch...words like that are way too good for that thing....

6. He also marched in a St Patrick's day parade with one of his mistresses
It was tradition to march with your wife, but Rudy chose to march with one of his mistresses
