Cheney under oath, this could be fun
If Darth Cheney actually has the balls to take the stand, what question would you like to ask him under oath?

2. Does anyone have the power to force him to testify?
Much less make him testify under oath? That is the first question. The second question is: If so, does anyone have the guts to make him testify under oath?

4. I'm just wondering why anyone thinks him being under oath
would be any different than asking him the same questions without being under oath.

He could swear on a stack of bibles and it wouldn't convince me that anything he said was the truth.

However, if he's caught in a lie under oath (we can hope) maybe the same folks who screeched about Clinton doing it might actually catch a clue.

7. I feel the same way
I wouldn't trust a word he says - under oath included. And I've gotten so cynical that even if he was caught lying under oath, I feel that they'd weasel their way out of it anyway. These guys are the teflon administration. Nothin' sticks.

11. I agree
"He could swear on a stack of bibles and it wouldn't convince me that anything he said was the truth."

So true - he has no sense of decency, so he could still be lying his @ss off even if under oath.

5. I heard he's fleeing the country next week
Probably so he doesn't have to testify, but if that black hearted bastard was under oath I'd ask just who the hell was in that energy meeting for starters.

9. The Fact He's Being Called Ain't Good For Scooter
Looks like the defense is shifting from blaming Rove to possibly trying to throw his old boss under the bus.

What I am not connecting with here is how Cheney's testimony helps in the overall defense? How does he verify that Scooter has a shit-for-brain memory? Will we get a Perry Mason moment of crashcart admitting in open court that he was the one behind all of this? Only in my dreams.

The only thing I see cheney can add to Scooter's defense without purjuring himself (which he'd do and not think twice about it...he'll dare Fitz to cite him for contempt and perjury) is demonstrating how he rolled all the reporters and make them look like the pathetic weasels we know they are. I don't see what else he can offer.

I sure will look forward to the cross examination...

15. I'd pursue a line of questioning that examined how long he's been aware of the CPD
... inside the CIA and their role in monitoring trade in WMD in the Middle East and South Asia. I'd go back and build a basis for examining his knowledge of the existence of Plame and BJ&A going back at least to the AQ Khan exposure.

I'm betting Cheney has known about Plame for many YEARS.

22. He can't testify because he can't tell the truth
it will be interesting to see what happens. I think thats why Rove isn't testifying he's too important to them to expose.

We all know no one will see any prison from this, Bush will pardon who ever goes down but its great to see them exposed for their lies.
