Poll question: It's scary how quickly your blogs and pics can be distributed to all, in the event of a tasering
or such.

Look at how quickly people were able to grab Star Simpson's photo and semi-personal thoughts. Or even Andrew Meyer's info.

In this day and age, is it even a good idea to post photos, blogs, and youtube clips online?

2. Only if you plan on bypassing the resume process and
decide to pull some stunt.

3. That's usually the point of posting things, is to have them spread.

Anyone posting anything online that they don't want others to see is a fool.

I don't know who Star Simpson is, and that's probably a good thing.

4. Never post anything you wouldn't want someone else to use...
Or use against you.

We teach our kids not to post pictures of themselves, home addresses, phone numbers, name of schools, etc., but I see people doing exactly that every day on the Internets. Stupid.

I saw one dumbass on dKos post all sorts of personal stuff about herself and her family, even her screen name was her initials and her last name. Her mother was well-known in her field, and this person herself had a personal website where she posted stuff about her vanity press books and music albums. It took less than 30 seconds to figure out who she was and who her mother was... and then she had the nerve to go all ballistic on people for figuring it out. What a freaking dumbass.

That is merely one example out of dozens I've personally seen.

Protect yourself.
