10. Dodd had said he would only vote for a bill that was cutting funds like Feingold-Reid.

He had basically pledged not to vote for Levin-Reed as too soft before knowing what would be in the bill, sent emails, ...

14. That's what I thought too
I'm so tired of these close votes when they don't launch the kinds of campaign they did with social security. The people want this war to end and if they were given an opportunity to really understand these bills, they could pressure the appropriate senators and get them passed. But we aren't putting out the effort to get that done.
