Sure enough, the costs of defending themselves in a $67 million lawsuit, later reduced to $54 million, have caused the dry cleaners to close up the store involved. Mission accomplished.

1. Why Couldn't They File A Counter Claim Of Abuse Of Process
Or filing a non-colorable-or non meritorious action designed only to harass...

I suspect a lawyer would say the "Satisfaction Guaranteed" sign gave the plaintiff something to hang his hat on...

2. Because, A) they are probably broke.
and B) the arsehole they are(were) up against could represent himself until they were.


AFAIK lawyers don't do Mano a Mano, coz Mano on the other side will always be "broke" when the bill falls due. So no pro bono happening here.
