<snip>
Now, you have to know this about me: I am huge Marlins fan, and a born heckler. My purpose in life is to badger, jeer, and cajole professional athletes. I have angered two other All-Star baseball players, Bobby Abreu and Odalis Perez, on separate occasions. I have booed singers that mess up the national anthem. Heck, I’ll even heckle other hecklers if I don’t care for their stuff. What happened during this particular game was destined to be, the paths of Griffey and I on a collision course.

1. More from our boy Andrew:
This guy is such a peach.

From:Meghan Cohen To:The Andrew Meyer

Dear Andrew,
I was utterly embarrassed to see your article in the Alligator. HOw could you ever belittle the efforts of over 600 people, Greeks and Non-Greeks, in supporting the Children's Miracle Network. If you have ever participated in Dm, which I pray you haven't or you are an heartless individual, you would see how grateful and appreciative these parents are of these students staying awake for 32 hours. The entire point of staying awake and on your feet for so long is to see the struggle these children go through each day. Maybe you are just a coward and can't imagine doing anything for 32hours, or if you have participated, you have no emotion. I would hardly call DM an "insult to our intelligance", because, I would never call something that raises over 340,000 to improve the lives of children and "insult". Anyone who participates in Dm is selfless, giving, caring and these families and parents appreciate every second we are on our feet. Volunteering is great, however, it does not have the same impact..and you know the children are at DM the entire time, interacting with the dancer . Maybe your fraternity hazes and forces your pledges to participate, however, people in our sorority want to participate and show how supportive they are of these children and their struggles. I am ashamed that you are a representative of the Greek community and your brother's should be embarrased. Oh and if this is the wrong Andrew Meyer, then I am sorry.

From:The Andrew Meyer To:Meghan Cohen

I admit it: I was morale team last year. I am heartless, believe it or not. You have to understand though, how hard it is being a heartless monster. Do you think I wanted to “belittle the efforts of over 600 people”? Of course not. But really, I had no choice, not possessing a heart. It’s genetics. I’m practically forced to write nasty articles because of my biological makeup. And because of this, I am persecuted daily in the Alligator. Have you no compassion for me and my plight? Perhaps you are the real monster. Whereas my condition is forced upon me, you have chosen to demean my unalterable condition.

P.S.: I never said DM is an "insult to our intelligence." You can thank the Alligator copy editors who write the headlines for that.

Like all DUers. :P On human rights issues you'd be happy to know you and I would be all smiles and kisses. :D The cops definitely overreacted, but this is only a cause celebre for police use of excessive force, in my view. It isn't as much a cause celebre for election theft coverups or free speech issues. Guy got walked for being disruptive (pushed to front of line, kept talking after his time was up), and got tased for pushing around and trying to escape the officers walking him. I don't really agree with either behavior (and apparently neither did Kerry), but it's clear at least he didn't get any trouble from the cops for asking the actual questions.

18. Oh well there we agree
This has nothing to do with Kerry and all to do with excessive force. And the people here willing to give such wide leeway to those exercising such force without question.

4. so what?
the point is the police violence was extremely excessive and unnecessary.

Or do you agree with violence to stop him from speaking in a public auditorium?

Oh, and someone tell him to quit speaking in the third person. With the possible exception of The Rock, anyone who does that is just being stupid

6. Saint Andrew
the patron saint of obnoxious disruptors and hecklers.

Prayer to Saint Andrew:

Oh blessed Saint Andrew, hear my prayer. Help me to be as big an asshole as I can, disrespecting the rights of others, and get away with it. May I always be seen as the victim, by those I'm trying to bamboozle, and may I never get called on my bullshit no matter how egregious, and never have the crap beaten out of me, no matter how disruptive and disorderly my conduct.

Amen.

Disclaimer: NO I DON"T THINK HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TASERED.

and no he shouldn't have been tasered, but I can't stand these mediocre buffoons who have to leach off the celebrity of others.
