HOUSTON -- A former patient of a family doctor charged in connection with several fires said he sexually assaulted her in his office, KPRC Local 2 reported Thursday.
Arson investigators said Dr. David McClellan was charged with one count of insurance fraud after a three-year investigation into five fires over the past 10 years.
When police went to arrest McClellan on a probable cause affidavit, they learned he caught a flight to New Mexico Thursday morning. His whereabouts are unknown.

Texas Medical Board officials said he exposed himself to a female patient and made a lewd request on May 14.
"He is a pervert," said a former patient, who asked to remain anonymous. "Very much a pervert. He turned his back to me and he turned around. His private parts were stuck out and he looked at me and he told me, 'I hope you like having sex as much as I do.'"

If convicted of insurance fraud, McClellan would lose his medical license permanently and could face between two and 20 years in prison.
Officials said they are trying to build an arson case against the doctor. McClellan was the primary insurance holder, detectives said, and many of the blazes were deliberately set.
