I'm sure a good joke is in here somewhere............
Prunes force evacuation of Sandy Springs post office

What kind of message can be divined from a bunch of jars filled with chopped prunes, a photo of President Bush, some Homeland Security pamphlets and a Santa Claus toy with a "New York" tag around its neck?

The odd collection was discovered at a Sandy Springs post office early Friday, and triggered an emergency response that shut the facility, which serves about 60,000 addresses, and a portion of Glendridge Drive for nearly six hours.

After a series of tests, authorities determined the items posed no threat.

First they X-rayed the Santa doll. Then they tested the Mason-type jars containing the murky brown liquid.

The substance turned out to be chopped prunes, said Sandy Springs police Lt. Steve Rose.

"I don't think it's flammable," he said.

The items were discovered at 6:41 a.m. by a custodian who was a military veteran, and who thought the items looked suspicious, said Michael Miles, a spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service.

The custodian alerted postal inspectors, who contacted police.

Postal workers were evacuated, as were employees of an architecture firm in an adjacent building.

4. Discovered at 6:41 A.M., eh?
Funny how they can be precise about a jar of prunes, but when the President found out about the 1st plane hitting the towers, that's another story...

made sure he waited the appropriate amount of time before moving so as not to "alarm anyone" :sarcasm:

9. Since when did prunes start smelling like reindeer shit? And who put the reindeer shit in the Mason
jars? And why did Santa put reindeer shit in Mason jars?

Sent to a lab in New York that tests shit for dietary reasons. Due to global warming, reindeer don't have regular reindeer food to eat, so Santa's been experimenting.

Homeland Security says that it can't be sent by air freight. At least, according to the pamphlet.

Have I explained everything?

Oh, that picture of Bush*. Every time the reindeer see him on TV, they say, "You gotta be shittin' me. He's still the President of the United States." Of course, the prunes help.

What's the plural of reindeer?
