Asking for info re: BushCo & AARP




I need someone to help me refresh my memory. It seems like during that last Presidential campaign run (or maybe even the Y2K run) there were stories going around that the top brass at AARP were backing Bush at the expense of their members best interests. I recieved a membership solicitation in today's mail and I tend to think I need to mail it back telling them where to shove it but I would like to be sure I have my facts straight to begin with. Any names or links to published articles would help a lot. Thanks in advance. :hi:

1. I'm not sure about the election, but I do know
that they backed the so-called Medicare prescription "benefit" because they are basically an insurance company. Many of their members saw through it and were angry at the time. It's the reason that I have never joined, even though they have great discounts.
