Simple message ... Congressional Dems to Bu$h - NO TIMETABLE, NO $$
Hey Congressional Dems ... DO YOUR JOB:

1. Deauthorize Bu$h's war on Iraq, immediately.

2. Only allow bills that link a plan for specific, complete withdrawl from Iraq(completed by 30 June 2008, if not sooner) to any appropriation - supplemental or full - to come to debate and vote.

DO THE JOB WE ELECTED YOU TO DO.

2. "Talk, Action, Iraq. Fully Fund a Withdrawal."
<clip>

Unless Democrats can pull together to get a bill on the President's desk that funds the troops with the proviso that the money be used to start withdrawing those troops, and with a fixed date for completing the withdrawal welded to that bill, everything else going on now amounts to little more than political theater.

Congressional Democrats need to summon the will to send a support-the-troops, fully-fund-the-withdrawal bill to the President this month, and to keep sending it to him again and again over his veto. The wars and occupation in Iraq may well, probably will, continue under that scenario. But it will be clear to everyone that the Democrats are not the ones to blame for it.

3. "DO THE JOB WE ELECTED YOU TO DO." There's nothing much depending on it ...
... except the Constitution and the Bill of Rights!

4. It's not so easy, because conservative Democrats will condemn such a maneuver

This is why Democrats can't really agree on a course, simply because the ideological spectrum within the party is so wide on the issue of this war. It will grow increasingly worse as long as more and more Republicans are being driven into the Democratic Party.
