1. To me, the bad part is that they would even watch that crap at all.
And then talk about it at work.

6. What's the difference, Spears crap or Patreaus's ? Britney isn't killing anyone!
Watching Patreaus is a slap in the face from Bushco!

2. It's ok. We're still here for you.
The country is in denial of addiction mode. And even the worst alcoholics can eventually find recovery. I look at it like substance abuse. But it's comfort abuse. Bread and circus.

That, and people are afraid to confront each other. Especially at work. And I can't really blame them. Thank god I haven't had to work since having this nightmare in office. I can't imagine how you cope with it. But I think most people really want to avoid the friction. And the division is so big, and so serious, I can understand.

Maybe find a secret political friend at work. Then maybe you can grow into three.

Meanwhile, I feel for you. And us all. It's pretty damned pathetic.

4. I work with some great people in an all liberal office
there isn't one Republican in my office and my co-workers do vote and are sometimes interested beyond the news ticker..... but they get obsessed with all of this celebrity stuff (and it's not like we're a bunch of teenagers!)

5. I'd avoid politics at the office too!
Just sayin' but talking about Ms. Spears all day, would make me puke as well!

8. It is so crazy out there....
I was at a youth baseball game back in May I think it was. And because I am losing my memory, I can't remember what was going on in the beltway at the time but it was something very significant.

I realized this older woman was ranting about something to someone else. I focused in on the conversation because I was SURE it was about the goings on in DC. After honing in I realized this woman was raging over Anna Nicole and the paternity of her baby.

Somebody. Get. The. Net.
