Do folks really believe Russia and China would just sit on their hands...
... if the Bushreich started bombing Iran -- with the intent of taking over the whole Middle East and its resources? I don't -- and even the Bushreich knows they won't, which is probably the only reason Herr Bush hasn't given the order already. It's also the reason I don't think there will be a bombing of Iran -- it's such an insane notion on so many levels that unless Lil' George thinks he can speed up the Rapture not even he could be so stupid. Or could he???

1. Sure he could . . . Schimpanski's capacity for wicked-stupid actions . . .
Knows few limits.

However, I don't think he has any intention of invading Iran. What he wants to do is nuke 'em (supposedly to take out their bomb-making capability), believing that everything will be hunky-dory afterwards. The grateful Iranian people will find a giant statue of Ahmadinenjad somewhere to topple and they'll invite American firms to decontaminate and rebuild their 10 largest cities (based on our success in New Orleans).

Fallout? Schmallout.

'Course, there could be a few setbacks along this rosy road, but you can be sure Georgie would "stay the course" until his ass is tossed out on the street in January 2009.

Why would they interfere in our self destruction?

4. because China gets all her oil from Iran and this would piss them off mightily
to be deprived of it for a month or more (which is why we threatened china last xmas with bombing iran, to do just that. they said 'you'd have to be crazy to do that' and bernanke laughed and said 'have you met my boss?'). If we attack Iran, it will be to punish China for threatening to or actually dumping our currency.

3. Didn't we all think once that China was our greatst enemy?
And now look at how they provide almost everything we use, own our debt, and influence our decisions!

I no longer think in those artificially defined, functional "us versus them" terms anymore. I grew up within the duck and cover Cold War and have since learned what that was and meant. It was terrifying and scarring and had purposes well above and beyond my personal safety and needs. It was an abomination and a game played by two sets of power working on the powerless in order to coerce everyone under that threshold, IMHO.

The Bushista Regime can do what it wants, when it wants. We have been told that point-blank, and the American people, Congress, and the House of Representatives, have all given their consent, in one way or another.

You may think that a given scenario is unlikely or impossible because you applying a reason and logic that depend on some sort of faith-based adherence to those disciplines. We are living in a time where that kind of faith can be a fatal mistake because it is already factored into the game being played out. That, hopefully, should become plain and simple.

There is much, much more to all of this than meets the eye. That is what makes it work so very well. There is information, misinformation, white noise, counter-intelligence, etc. The American People are just as much the victims of this Glass Bead Game as are the so-called enemies we are supposed to acknowledge. Power works in tandem and gravitates towards itself, so it seems. We are not the powerful and therefore, we are left with the crumbs of information that the higher echelons feed us through their vast and well-thought-out networks of propaganda.

When will we ever learn?

We are responsible for much of the mess we're in. That's why I support local businesses whenever possible, strive to buy American-made goods from American companies, and I look to see where that company's corporate headquarters are located.

If it's overseas, profits eventually wind up there and I don't do business with them.

It's difficult to buy 100% American-made today, but I feel better about myself when I do, and I know I'm doing my part to support my fellow American worker.

You will never find a Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, or any other foreign car in my garage. I think buying them is un-American. Fords, Chryslers, and GMs may be partially built or totally built somewhere else, but at least they are American based companies, and I'm not furthering the interests of a foreign company.

It's time for Americans to put America first, have pride in our country, and stop supporting overseas companies that are poisoning our pets, our children, and taking our jobs away from us. Yes, all of this comes at a cost, but so does Democracy.

7. Those are good points!

I am only sad that our American companies hold no flag or support for the people they serve in their own country. Multi-national is the way large corporations go these days.

While it is great that you look for, and support, products made in the US, have you carefully checked into how many of the parts, (say, the engine in the car) were made overseas? I mean, look under the hood of a modern Chevy, Ford, or Chrysler and tell me who made the engine? Today, we are seeing products that are only assembled in the US tagged with, "Made in the USA". That is not honest or realistic.

It is very hard to find much that is actually made completely by workers in this country.

Yet, I commend you for your effort. Though you may pay more, supporting your local merchants and producers is a good way to do something about the total outsourcing of our economy that will certainly end-up turning a large portion of us and our children into servants in a service-based structure. We can already see that by the types of jobs that supposedly grow this economy and by how many college edcuated people are working in them.

6. Russia would enjoy it greatly. They print money off high oil prices. China would be pissed.
China happens to need oil.
