Why, just a couple of months ago, an invitation to testify up at Congress was cause for celebration. A paid day away from the office, someone would surely invite you to lunch at a nice place to eat, and pick up the tab, and you'd spend a pleasant couple of hours discussing the finer points of all that's good and right with being one of the elites.

Now, the Democrats are back running things, and goddam if they don't have a lot of pesky questions.

hitting Paulson with the repugs stance on 'moral' and 'family' values. Making them look like the complete hypocrites they are. Litany of cuts and hardships by 'families' and wealth to the 'golden' few.

Paulson has no defence - he is babbling and very wishy washy - actually appears embarrassed.

14. BUT, did you watch and listen to Sen. Conrad

make it perfectly clear to Paulson that all of the current tax deductions that Bush is now allowing to "sunset" are factually TAX INCREASES to the tune of billions and billions of dollars.
That was an old trick of Ronald Reagan, eliminate tax deductions instead of tax increases.
Is it just me, or does losing a tax deduction give you more income to be taxed?
Help me out here, I quit school after eighth grade.
